New Citizenship Application Fees

From 1 July 2024, new citizenship application fees will come into effect. Each year, fees are adjusted based on the consumer price index (CPI). The updated fees apply to all applications received by the Department of Home Affairs from 12 am (AEST) on 1 July 2024.

Concessions and Exemptions

Concession fees are available for holders of a Pensioner Concession Card and dependents under 18 listed on such cards. No fee applies for certain categories, including British or Maltese former child migrants, veterans, and stateless applicants.
